candoris named best place workCandoris was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2017. Created in 2000, the program is one of the first statewide programs of its kind in the country, and is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.

“We are honored to be considered among the top Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. This recognition further underscores our belief that a team focused on a goal greater than themselves in a positive atmosphere has limitless potential; this award is further evidence to that end,” said Candoris President Stephan Van Der Ploog.

The survey and awards program was designed to honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, who are benefiting the state’s economy and its workforce. Employers are categorized based upon the total number of employees they have in the United States.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part of this process was evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.

“This is one of our favorite times of the year, when we learn which 100 Pennsylvania companies are the best in our Commonwealth,” said Ryan C. Unger, President and CEO at Team Pennsylvania. “It is a great opportunity to work with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal to acknowledge the leaders and people that propel Pennsylvania’s outstanding workforce.”

In addition to the public/private partnership, the program is supported by the following organizations: Lead Sponsor—Team Pennsylvania Foundation; Major Sponsor—Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr; Founding Partners—Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal; Program Partners—The Department of Community and Economic Development and PA SHRM.
