From Our Core: Lead By Serving

Corporate social responsibility has been referred to as business practices that benefit the whole of society- be it volunteering, environmental efforts, philanthropy, etc. It goes hand-in-hand with sustainability, for if companies hold themselves responsible for positively impacting others around the globe, they will operate in an ethical way that considers a triple bottom line: profits, people, and planet.

Serving others is at the heart of Candoris. Our company’s core purpose is reflected in the values of humility, unity, truth, innovation, respecting family, impacting others through servanthood and giving, and in always doing the right thing. It is focused on a goal greater than itself. It is focused on people.

These “people” have been staff in need, those served by local nonprofits, and most frequently, children. In 2016, Candoris partnered through time and/or money with Love and Grace Ministries, a non-profit that provides caring homes for boys in need in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; to CURE, a nonprofit that operates charitable hospitals around the world to treat children with life-threatening conditions; and to Seamark Ranch, which is based in Florida and provides loving homes for young boys and girls going through family crisis. In addition, Candoris’ encouragement of volunteering through paid leave has afforded staff the opportunity to serve locally at places such as GAiN (a division of Cru) and Ronald McDonald House, and internationally in the Bahamas and Haiti.

Our core purpose says, “A team focused on a goal greater than themselves in an atmosphere of peace and harmony has limitless potential.” Here’s to doing a world of good for others in 2017!
