The very heartbeat of Candoris is giving – giving to our customers, community, and one another. We’re blessed to partner with other organizations that share our same desire to be a part of real change by giving back to nonprofits on the front lines of serving those with the greatest needs. While Candoris has its foundation in a strong social mission for good, we recently became part of Pledge 1%, an effort spearheaded by Salesforce, Atlassian, and Rally to accelerate their shared vision around integrating philanthropy into businesses around the world. Pledge 1% is dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business, challenging companies to pledge 1% of their equity, product, profit, and/or staff time to any not-for-profit organization of their choosing.
From day one, Candoris was created with this one question in mind: How can we do what we’re good at professionally (technology) and turn that into an opportunity to give out of our abundance? Over the company’s decade in business, this idea has manifested itself in several ways. While the needs of children around the world have been at the core of Candoris financial giving, employees are invited to use their 40 hours of VTO (volunteer time off) annually toward any nonprofit they personally feel passionate about.
Connecting our team with an opportunity to serve an organization that they feel strongly about provides an extremely valuable touchpoint and fosters employee loyalty to our company and culture. Incorporating the Pledge 1% initiative into our giving builds on our well-established philanthropic mission, and further underscores the commitment to being intentional about impacting our community through the giving of our profit and time.
The Pledge 1% movement boasts an impressive roster of over 5,000 companies, entrepreneurs, executives, founders, and venture capitalists across 90 countries including Yelp, Docusign, and Yahoo. Candoris is honored to join forces with these businesses doing good across the globe!
