Enacting Servanthood in Memory of Nate Kirby

Servant leadership is a core component of what Candoris stands for. As a company, we are outspoken about our why extending beyond profit. We utilize our voice and expertise in the technology space to create a positive impact. Whether we are helping others with a custom Salesforce solution or a data center refresh, organizing the next set of marketing events, strategizing on company growth, or serving meals to families in a season of need, we value that the goal is not just to get the job done. We are creating a culture of joy, improvement, success, and lasting value through fellowship and innovation in one way or another.

One Candorian specifically stood out for his hard work and servant heart, who we tragically lost in 2016. His name was Nate Kirby. To honor his memory, we annually observe a day that we dub Nate Kirby Day, on which our team serves the community. Since 2016 we have served Annville Township, PA Cares for Carlos, Friends of Old Annville, Lebanon Rescue Mission, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA. In addition, many of our employees have volunteered to serve at their churches, nonprofits, or crisis pregnancy centers like Lifeline of Berks County or Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services of Lebanon, PA.

Inspired by our departed dear friend and colleague Nate Kirby, who modeled servant-leadership in many practical ways, Candoris teammates annually spread out into the local community as an army in green.

On Nate Kirby Day, we calm the noise surrounding us in this busy world and remember what our role – in Candoris and as individuals with the opportunity to serve – is all about. Our time is a resource to help others, to achieve a goal that extends far beyond profit. Nate Kirby recognized this and was an example of our core values at work. A loving father, a caring friend, and a servant leader, Nate Kirby serves as a model of the true purpose of being in the role that we are in.
