Founder and Chief Accountability Officer

Stephan Van Der Ploog is Candoris President and Chief Accountability Officer. He graduated from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, with a bachelor’s in business administration. After serving 17 years in the corporate world of sales, Stephan came away with one underlying universal truth: a team united around a common goal in a positive work environment has limitless potential. Along with his brother, Lucas, Stephan began Candoris in 2011 with the goal of creating a mission-focused company that would impact children around the world through medicine, education, and clean water initiatives.

The Candoris core purpose is seeking success for others. It’s also Stephan’s way of life, as he is dedicated to helping others succeed in both their personal and professional goals. He is a visionary guide and inspirational motivator; he is consistently found exhibiting true servant leadership. Stephan is spearheading Candoris’ evolution into a digital transformation pathfinder, and his positive energy is key to creating and executing long-term strategy, business diversification, and corporate mission, culture, and values. Disorganization is his kryptonite, and he gives people a run for their money in running and golfing. Stephan sits on the boards of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce and New Covenant Christian School and is a dedicated husband and father to four school-aged children.

Lucas Van Der Ploog

Founder and Sr. Client Warrior

The next time you walk into a New Jersey Starbucks and notice a guy sitting at a table with a latte in one hand and scrolling through emails with other, it just might be Lucas. He can turn any coffee shop into an effective off-site office. While Lucas thrives in the Wi-Fi world, he aspires to be off the grid — disconnected from technology and able to connect with others in a meaningful way. Spending as much time as possible with his wife Kate and their four children is what Lucas loves to do with his time. A love of the outdoors and animals has inspired dreams of one day owning an alpaca farm.

Lucas has the “right stuff” for the demanding job of a Candoris “client warrior.” He has had a successful career in technology sales so he understands the solutions Candoris offers clients. He also has a sociology degree from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, which helps him relate to his clients and their needs. Because no two clients have identical challenges, Lucas blends these strengths to form a tailored approach for every unique situation. 

Sam Shrefler

Chief Technology Officer

Sam Shrefler joined Candoris in November of 2012, bringing with him an impeccable track record of managing internal development teams to complete IT projects for major health systems, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and from the New York Institute of Technology with an MBA. His professional role at Candoris has evolved from Senior Software Engineer, to Director of Application Development, to VP of Software Engineering, to his current title as Chief Technology Officer, where he is responsible for service delivery, internal IT, and charting future corporate success. Sam is a visionary for cutting-edge technology; that, coupled with his charismatic personality, makes him a natural strategic asset to both internal teams and external audiences.

A critical piece to company core value DNA, Sam is an active chairman on the board of Love and Grace Ministries- Haiti: a nonprofit organization providing food, clothing, home, loving care, and access to education for orphans and boys in need in Haiti. Whenever he’s not in the office or planning the next mission trip with his wife and two boys, he’s tapping into his competitive side and enjoying a round of golf with colleagues.

David Seaman

VP, Data Center Solutions

David Seaman is Vice President of Data Center Solutions, bringing to the team expert analysis and unparalleled motivational leadership. He joined Candoris in May of 2011 with a considerable and successful background in business development, corporate operations, and finance management, and has since been instrumental in the growth that the company has consistently experienced. He is spurred by an entrepreneurial focus and drive, both of which are instrumental assets in casting vision to the sales team and accelerating them to constantly exceed corporate goals. Dave’s powerful, calm presence and genuine, hands-on mentoring style, coupled with a jovial personality, elicits respect and a level of relaxed comfort with his team. His hope for Candoris is a continued drive towards growth supported by a focus on core values.

Dave graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, equipping him forever with Jedi mind trick skills in relating to people and uniting teams comprised of diverse personalities. At home he spends time with his family, often watching his three kids play sports. A foodie at heart, his ideal night out is enjoying an exemplary meal shared with his wife Kelly.

Cari Maxwell

Director of Operations

“We’re on a mission from God.” Can you identify what movie that famous quote comes from? Cari can. Quickly and effortlessly memorizing movie lines is “part of the family DNA,” according to Cari. Admittedly, she may have missed her calling being a party planner or running a bakery, as that is what you can find her doing for fun. But, she feels truly blessed being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, singer… and the occasional practical joker. When she’s not multitasking at the office, planning the next company event or baking up a storm, you can find her relaxing at home with husband, Charlie, and their three daughters.

Cari studied biblical counseling at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL. She was an account professional and trainer for a financial print company before coming to Candoris. Cari’s care and concern for employees and customers alike coupled with her focus and attention to detail help her to navigate the busy office at Candoris headquarters as our director of operations. 

Tawna Perkins

Director of Business Development

By looking at Tawna, you’d never know that she’s an avid motorcyclist. Based in Austin, TX, she has had the privilege of riding at Circuit of the Americas, the same track MotoGP visits each year. Tawna is a practiced do-it-yourselfer and Candoris relies on her organizational skills to help manage customer requests and manufacturer questions.

Knowing how driven she is, it comes as no surprise to learn that Tawna is the recipient of many awards for customer service, exceeding sales expectations, and training sales staff. Tawna earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas in Austin, TX. After working at Dell for 8.5 years, her career path in technology moved forward and she’s become an asset to the Candoris management team. 

Lisa Evans

Director of Finance

Lisa loves being with her family and that includes friends who are as close to her as any family member could be. She feels incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many children from family and friends alike…and can’t imagine life without them! There’s an adventurous side to Lisa that includes having her motorcycle license, parasailing and even taking a vanload of children to the fair. When asked what her super power is, Lisa says she’s a “super organizer,” having successfully coordinated and executed almost a dozen weddings at her church.

Lisa graduated from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, with a B.S. in accounting. Her accounting career has taken her from working with friends in a sole proprietorship, to working for a local healthcare company, to the Fortune 500 world. Her diverse accounting background helps her manage all sizes and types of Candoris clients. 

Tim Love

Director of Sales, Salesforce Consulting

Big things often do come in big packages, which is certainly true here at Candoris. Joining our resident tall men, Tim’s height has served him well as a previous defensive end for West Virginia University, where he graduated with a B.A. in criminology, a B.A. in business and a minor in communication. Tim harnesses his experience in college football today by serving as an assistant coach for the Cedar Crest High School football team. In his free time, you can find him enjoying a wide variety of other sports and leisure time with his wife, Daisha, and their son, Branson.

Tim brings an extensive background in telecom and connectivity sales management to our Salesforce.com integration and implementation consulting team. 

Brian Bachrach

Director of Marketing

Brian joins Candoris as Director of Marketing, bringing over 20 years of brand marketing, innovation, and general management experience from a variety of leading brands in the consumer packaged goods industry. His strength in strategic leadership helps Candoris understand customers’ evolving needs and ensure that they are set on the right path for future success.

When he’s not crafting strategy or marketing plans, a love of hiking, rafting, biking and golfing drives Brian into the great outdoors with his wife Suzanne and daughters Grace and Madison. Had he not followed the marketing path, he admits he’d be traveling the world as a photographer for National Geographic. But it’s his love of creating successful business strategies and continuing to hone his marketing skills that make him passionate about Candoris, our customers, and partners.

Darryl Schlicher

Director of Software Development

Armed with 360-degree experience in delivering stellar client solutions, Darryl Schlicher’s accomplishments render him worthy of impressive esteem. Darryl graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Muhlenberg College. His comprehensive background in IT can be traced from his initial work as a programmer, across years of software development team management and IT infrastructure consulting for various industries, to leading companies towards designing cutting-edge solutions with greater efficiency.

Joining Candoris as Director of Software Development in 2018, Darryl provides oversight to the application and software development teams and Salesforce integration engagements. As you watch him do laps around HQ, you wouldn’t guess that he has five grown children and a grandchild and has been married for 30 years. He is personable and transparent and instigates a lighthearted environment of doing quality work in his team; it goes unsaid that he can be a trusted friend. Darryl is passionate about mobilizing his team to grow Candoris’ influence for good throughout the country. When not in the office or logging miles on the elliptical, you’ll most likely find Darryl volunteering as a member of Mended Hearts and visiting and supporting local cardiac patients.
