Stephan Van Der Ploog
Lucas Van Der Ploog
Founder & Chief Accountability Officer
Stephan Van Der Ploog is Candoris President & Chief Accountability Officer. He graduated from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, with a bachelor’s in business administration. After serving 17 years in the corporate world of sales, Stephan came away with one underlying universal truth: a team united around a common goal in a positive work environment has limitless potential. Along with his brother, Lucas, Stephan began Candoris in 2011 with the goal of creating a mission-focused company that would impact children around the world through medicine, education, and clean water initiatives.
The Candoris core purpose is seeking success for others. It’s also Stephan’s way of life, as he is dedicated to helping others succeed in both their personal and professional goals. He is a visionary guide and inspirational motivator; he is consistently found exhibiting true servant leadership. Stephan is spearheading Candoris’ evolution into a digital transformation pathfinder, and his positive energy is key to creating and executing long-term strategy, business diversification, and corporate mission, culture, and values. Disorganization is his kryptonite, and he gives people a run for their money in running and golfing. Stephan has been involved with the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce and sits on the board of New Covenant Christian School. He is a dedicated husband and father to four school-aged children.
Founder & District Manager
Lucas Van Der Ploog and his brother Stephan founded Candoris in 2011 with the goal of creating a mission-focused company that would impact children around the world through medicine, education, and clean water initiatives. Lucas is District Manager of a team responsible for a territory encompassing New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Already deep in the value-added reseller industry prior to starting Candoris, Lucas continues his successful career in technology sales as he consistently paves the path to company progress and mission actualization. His hope for Candoris is that it capitalizes on team expertise and fills a niche in the marketplace while being an example of treating people well and performing excellent work.
Whether it stems from Lucas’ studies in sociology that earned him a degree from Messiah College, or from his knack for friending Starbucks baristas as he turns coffee shops into off-site offices, Lucas is always making people feel understood, comfortable, and appreciated. He has a high priority for disconnecting from technology and spending time with his wife and kids. Lucas is very active with his church and is dedicated to bettering the lives of less-fortunate children through his involvement with Seamark Ranch.
Chief Technology Officer
Sam Shrefler joined Candoris in November of 2012, bringing with him an impeccable track record of managing internal development teams to complete IT projects for major health systems, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and from the New York Institute of Technology with an MBA. His professional role at Candoris has evolved from Senior Software Engineer, to Director of Application Development, to VP of Software Engineering, to his current title as Chief Technology Officer, where he is responsible for service delivery, internal IT, and charting future corporate success. Sam is a visionary for cutting-edge technology; that, coupled with his charismatic personality, makes him a natural strategic asset to both internal teams and external audiences.
A critical piece to company core value DNA, Sam is an active chairman on the board of Love and Grace Ministries- Haiti: a nonprofit organization providing food, clothing, home, loving care, and access to education for boys in Haiti. Whenever he’s not in the office or planning the next mission trip with his wife and two boys, he’s tapping into his competitive side and enjoying a round of golf with colleagues.
VP, Data Center Solutions
David Seaman is Vice President of Data Center Solutions, bringing to the team expert analysis and unparalleled motivational leadership. He joined Candoris in May of 2011 with a considerable and successful background in business development, corporate operations, and finance management, and has since been instrumental in the growth that the company has consistently experienced. He is spurred by an entrepreneurial focus and drive, both of which are instrumental assets in casting vision to the sales team and accelerating them to constantly exceed corporate goals. Dave’s powerful, calm presence and genuine, hands-on mentoring style, coupled with a jovial personality, elicits respect and a level of relaxed comfort with his team. His hope for Candoris is a continued drive towards growth supported by a focus on core values.
Dave graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, equipping him forever with Jedi mind trick skills in relating to people and uniting teams comprised of diverse personalities. At home he spends time with his family, often watching his three kids play sports. A foodie at heart, his ideal night out is enjoying an exemplary meal shared with his wife Kelly.
VP, Finance & Operations
Leron Lehman joined the Candoris leadership team in 2018 as Vice President of Finance and Operations. He and his family recently moved back to the United States after spending more than eight years in the Philippines and Niger, where he was the founding Executive Director of two pediatric orthopedic hospitals for the nonprofit organization CURE International. Prior to that, Leron was a practicing CPA and held both finance and operational leadership roles as Principal, CFO, COO, and VP of Finance in various technology startups and in the professional services industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Messiah College.
Leron is passionate about making a difference through his work and thrives on solving challenges and strategically building and advising teams with a focus on operational efficiency and resource stewardship. His patient, thoughtful presence is highly valued as he supports and guides corporate growth with precision and integrity. He has a respect for culture and values, and he is a firm believer that fluency in interpersonal communication has a profound impact on a team.
Both in the States and abroad, Leron enjoys being actively involved in his community. He sits on the board of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce. You can typically find him on a hike in the woods or on the final page of an influential book from his Goodreads list.
Director of Culture & Operations
There is no brief way to convey the impact that Cari Maxwell, who serves as Director of Culture and Operations, has had on Candoris since 2013. Coming to the firm after a long-held account management role for a financial and compliance solutions company, her fingerprint has been on many of the details surrounding Candoris growth and events, internal processes, customer care, core value creation, team volunteer opportunities, marketing endeavors, human resource offerings and policies, and operational efficiencies. She is an expert at executing both small and large deliveries with ease and precision, and is known by the team as a kind, approachable colleague who possesses the utmost capability to see things through with care.
Preserving Candoris culture and fostering opportunities for employee engagement is near and dear to her heart, and apparent to each person that she graciously assists in meeting their needs. Cari attended Moody Bible Institute and is a devoted wife and mother to three girls. At home she can often be found in the kitchen whipping up a mean batch of delicious cinnamon chip scones or lounging on the deck by her herb garden. She actively volunteers with the National Kidney Foundation; you may even see her advocating on Capitol Hill or appearing in their clinical training videos and publications!
Director of Alliances & Sales Operations
With an affinity for accelerated speeds, Tawna Perkins is a major influencer driving the sales team’s forward progression towards achieving numbers by providing customers with outstanding IT solutions. Tawna joined Candoris in 2013 after working at Dell for almost nine years in the capacities of channel and public solution sales and account manager. Her extensive knowledge of their processes is key to keeping Candoris a relevant and top-of-mind partner with Dell EMC and VMware, and alliances with Dell Technologies are paramount to company success.
Tawna professionally influences Candoris as Director of Alliances and Sales Operations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin, which lends itself to understanding how people interact and the different ways issues are perceived depending upon the bias with which they are viewed. Tawna is highly organized, internally motivated, and possesses the faculty to break down processes and procedures in order to improve them. She has an uncanny ability to be charming and direct in the same instant; she is an esteemed asset to the team!
Tawna mentors female motorcycle riders in her city, and on weekends can be found riding on a local track, spending time with friends, or tackling do-it-yourself projects around the house.
Director of Finance
Possibly the most outgoing, joyful, adventurous Director of Finance you’ll ever find, Lisa Evans breaks all accountant stigmas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Messiah College, and her career has taken her from working with friends in a sole proprietorship, to working for a local healthcare company, to being in the Fortune 500 world. She brings this wealth of expertise to Candoris and has protected company assets with fierce dedication since 2013. Lisa is instrumental in standardizing and deploying updated accounting processes and policies that balance the entrepreneurial, creative, and sales sides of Candoris.
Volunteering holds a special place in her life. She annually dedicates time to volunteering with Christian youth ministry camps, and recently stepped into a financial leadership role with Love and Grace Ministries- Haiti that provides housing, education, and care for at-risk youth. If and when she ever ages out of her role at Candoris, she has already made plans to be the Candoris volunteer extraordinaire.
If you catch her making the daily batch of iced tea for the non-bean drinkers, ask her about growing up around the globe. An infectious gleam will come into her eyes as she reminisces about her days abroad as a kid. When she breaks free from numbers completely, she either cruises towards warm weather or relaxes at a stellar spa.
Director of Sales, Salesforce Consulting
Possessing the gumption and grit it takes to begin, grow, mobilize and manage a sales team, Candoris Director of Sales – Salesforce Consulting, Tim Love, is no stranger to teamwork. In addition to his collegiate football days at West Virginia University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in business and criminology and a minor in communications, to his current football coaching volunteerism with a local high school, Tim brings to the team over 16 years of background in telecommunications and connectivity sales management. Thanks to his expertise and strong leadership style, the Salesforce Consulting Team has grown into a force to be reckoned with, blazing a trail into a dynamic and competitive partner network.
Typically armed with an antagonizing smile and a bag of Door Dash lunch, Tim is known by the team for giving both undivided attention and unapologetically honest answers. He is passionate about The Anne Fund- for which he is a board member, binging on documentaries, running his church’s soundboard for the worship team, and traveling with his wife and kids to unexplored territories. Since 2014 he’s been striving to build out the missions of nonprofit and commercial customers across the world. He hopes that Candoris will continue challenging the mainstream idea of a corporate work environment through leading by example.
Director of Service Delivery
JP Flory came to Candoris in 2015 after logging a successful IT career in the public school system. As Candoris Director of Service Delivery, his specialized knowledge of Candoris offerings equips him to navigate the gap between delivering technology and providing outstanding customer service, support, and nurturing. He is ignited by the responsibility of driving projects to completion and has already grown the managed services department in both staff and revenue. JP executes with ease the high level of focus, flexibility, and strategy that his role requires, and he is admired and respected for his positive, lighthearted encouragement to do efficient and effective work.
A legend around the company, JP is an unflustered, lively character that supports colleagues in understanding and solving even the most complex computer issues. JP is passionate about furthering Candoris innovation and growth while remaining agile, authentic, and customer-focused. He holds degrees in philosophy and religion from Ursinus College, and his prime methods of relaxation are appreciating a newly-discovered craft beer, cheering on a Penn State football game, drumming for his church worship team, and finally (but not lastly), spending time with his wife and three kids.
Director of Marketing
Candoris Director of Marketing, Brian Bachrach, brings to the team over 20 years of brand marketing experience from a variety of leading brands in the consumer packaged goods industry. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Albright College and his MBA in marketing from Penn State. Since 2017 Brian’s strength in strategic leadership has aided Candoris in understanding customers’ evolving needs and ensuring that they are set on the right path for future success. Brian is passionate about maintaining the Candoris culture and driving the company to continually grow and deliver on its mission and vision in order to provide greater impact to clients and communities.
In elementary school Brian was often found wandering the classroom and conversing with other students, and he’s first to admit that not much has changed. The marketing team isn’t quite sure whether his quick, witty remarks to almost any situation flow naturally or brew from the intimidating half gallon mug of coffee in his hand as he circles the office. When he’s not crafting strategy or marketing plans, a love of hiking, rafting, and biking drives Brian into the great outdoors with his family. He is an active volunteer on the business advisory board of his local community college and enjoys serving as a guest speaker for students of all ages.
Director of Software Development
Armed with 360-degree experience in delivering stellar client solutions, Darryl Schlicher’s accomplishments render him worthy of esteem. Darryl graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Muhlenberg College. His comprehensive background in IT can be traced from his initial work as a programmer, across years of software development team management and IT infrastructure consulting for various industries, to leading companies towards designing cutting-edge solutions with greater efficiency.
Joining Candoris as Director of Software Development in 2018, Darryl provides oversight to the application and software development teams and Salesforce integration engagements. As you watch him do laps around HQ, you wouldn’t guess that he has five grown children and a grandchild and has been married for 30 years. He is personable and transparent and instigates a lighthearted environment of doing quality work in his team; it goes unsaid that he can be a trusted friend. Darryl is passionate about mobilizing his team to grow Candoris’ influence for good throughout the country. When not in the office or logging miles on the elliptical, you’ll most likely find Darryl volunteering as a member of Mended Hearts and visiting and supporting local cardiac patients.
